HeartGram · The Art(ery) of Seeing
Move a simulated C-arm to any angle and see how the coronary arteries appear on angiography, with foreshortening and overlap shown for each segment, and a layer for marking stenoses and stents.
HeartGram is for cardiology fellows, practising cardiologists and medical students learning coronary angiography. It is an educational tool by Ruey Hu and the Computational Cardiology Team, an idealised teaching model and not a medical device.
What it contains
- Three panes side by side: 3D coronary anatomy, simulated fluoroscopy, and the C-arm and table.
- Any LAO/RAO and cranial/caudal angle, with foreshortening and overlap for each SYNTAX segment.
- An annotation layer for stenoses, occlusions, stents, dissections and myocardial bridges.
- A patient view in plain language, and a fly-through of the artery lumen.
